Los Angeles-based label Vita Fede has decided to make the bi-costal change to fashion capital New York. There, founder Cynthia Sakai has set up a SoHo loft for her newest corporate office for the brand.

Her new office stands as a new operation base for daily business for Vita Fede. According to WWD, the new office will operate with about six fulltime employees. The New York office space boasts 2,300 square feet and has an interior to match the sophisticated appeal of her brand. The decision to move to New York was part of a new plan strategy the company has. “New York is a fashion capital and we really want to grow as brand,” Sakai told WWD. Vita Fede was originally headquartered in Los Angeles, where it runs shipping, production and accounting. Although Sakai has decided to move to New York, the brand will remain headquartered in its Los Angeles location. The brand currently offers jewelry and accessories, but the new move is part of a push for the brand to engage other areas. “The goal for Vita Fede is to become a lifestyle brand. New York seemed to be the place to do that,” Sakai told the publication.

Sakai founded the company in 2009 as a Los Angeles-based label. The brand incorporated a handcrafted touch for its fashion jewelry and accessories. Vita Fede’s designs are largely inspired by art, architecture, and culture. The overall feel of the brand is a fusion of American, Asian, and European culture that represents “an elevated aesthetic,” according to the brand’s website. The company size is currently 11-50.
