Zimmermann opens new location on Melrose Avenue

Australian label Zimmermann is set to open a new retail store in Los Angeles. The new location will open on Melrose Avenue the first week of July.

The brand will open the new space on the popular retail haven known as Melrose Place. The space will occupy 3,000 square feet at the locals’ shoppers place. Melrose Avenue is famous for its luxurious fashion boutiques such as Civilianaire, Dash, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, and more. The store will be the brand’s fifth location in the US. So far, the Australian line has been increasing it’s presence in the US. In 2010, Zimmermann opened a pop-up in SoHo which also drew attention to the brand. The new space won’t be the brand’s first Los Angeles location either, as the company has opened a boutique on Robertson Blvd. in 2011.

The brand originally started its wholesale business in the US 20 years ago. Since then, the label is known for being offered at 200 retailers internationally. Zimmermann is sold at Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-A-Porter, and more. The company, founded in 1991, has established various ready-to-wear collections throughout the years. The brand is most notable for its fashionable high-end swimwear. Currently the brand houses 51-200 employees.
