HOKA launches the Clifton UTL with vintage curator Emma Rogue

HOKA, a division of Deckers Brands, has unveiled the Clifton UTL, a street-ready reinterpretation of one of its most iconic running silhouettes, in collaboration with New York-based entrepreneur and vintage curator Emma Rogue. The shoe is available from today on HOKA.com, in HOKA stores and at selected retail partners worldwide.

A collaboration between performance and vintage

Founder of the vintage stores ROGUE, Emma Rogue is known in the New York fashion scene for her analytical eye and a selection of garments guided by the stories they tell. Her world, which straddles style, community and constant movement, has made her the ideal partner for HOKA to present the Clifton UTL to a new audience.

Rogue described her days as unpredictable, split between managing three stores, sourcing vintage pieces, and travelling around the city for meetings and events. According to the curator, the Clifton UTL allows her to get through the day without having to choose between comfort and style.

From running to the city

The Clifton UTL reinterprets HOKA's Clifton line with a lifestyle twist, maintaining the brand's signature comfort in a design that pairs with everything from vintage jeans and T-shirts to more technical looks and tailored pieces. It is designed to take you from early morning to late at night.

Rogue is also the face of the model's global campaign, which interprets movement as a form of personal expression through dynamic images that follow the shoe throughout a day in the city. This includes running for the tube; striding along the pavement; stopping at a gallery; and enjoying the nightlife.

Design vision

Chris Hui, director of design, lifestyle at HOKA, explained that the goal in creating the Clifton UTL was to start with one of the brand's most beloved running silhouettes and reimagine it with a lifestyle focus, for uncompromising comfort combined with a versatile design.
