Introducing FSF University: Where talent meets opportunity

At the Fashion Scholarship Fund, we believe that talent is everywhere and that everyone should have access. That’s why we’re proud to introduce FSF University, a dynamic new online learning platform designed to give every eligible student, regardless of school affiliation, the tools and support they need to complete an FSF Case Study and apply for the FSF Scholarship.

What is FSF University?

FSF University is a free, self-paced digital program delivered on Arizona State University’s Canvas platform, FSF’s official Learning Management System (LMS) partner. Together, we’ve created a robust, accessible space where students can learn how to research, build, and master their FSF Case Study and prepare for scholarship success.

Students start with three introductory modules, all available online now, then select an FSF discipline: Design and Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, or Business Strategy. The next four modules, released in early June 2025, offer step-by-step guidance to creating a case study. All seven educational modules include video presentations, quizzes, and assignments, to help students submit their best work.

As Marie Colletta, Head of Education Programs, explains: “Through FSF University’s seven on-demand modules, you’ll learn everything you need—from choosing your discipline to researching, drafting, and submitting your case study. The best part? You can work at your own pace, anytime, anywhere.”

Who can enroll?

Any eligible student can enroll in FSF University, including those at FSF member schools and those from schools outside the FSF network. If you’re eligible to apply for the FSF Scholarship, you can participate.

Best of all? It’s completely free. We’re committed to making access to FSF’s resources and opportunities as broad and equitable as possible.

What will you learn?

You’ll also receive qualitative feedback from FSF Adjunct Faculty partners within 48 business hours of each assignment submission, helping you improve and refine your ideas ahead of the competition deadline. Discussion boards and optional office hours offer additional support as you move through the course.

How does it work?

If you are an eligible student, your first step will be to enroll in FSF’s application portal, Wizehive, which you can access from our How to Apply guide. Once you’ve enrolled with FSF, you’ll receive your FSF University login credentials and instructions via email.

The program is self-paced but structured, with suggested weekly milestones to help you stay on track. Expect to dedicate about 2 to 3 hours per week over 6 to 8 weeks, but if you fall behind, don’t worry—you can catch up anytime before the final FSF University course completion deadline. Just be sure to allow time for feedback and revisions as assignments must be submited for feedback on FSF University by October 1, 2025, at 11:59 AM ET and final Case Study must be submitted on FSF’s WizeHive portal by October 13, 2025, at 11:59 AM ET.

Students who complete all modules will earn a Certificate of Completion, celebrating this year’s case study theme, Fashion Crosses Industries—a credential you can proudly add to your resume or LinkedIn.

Is FSF University required?

No—but it’s strongly encouraged. Especially for students who don't have direct access to FSF educators, case study advisors, or past Scholars, FSF University is a game-changing resource.

Completing the FSF University coursework not only strengthens your case study but also prepares you to confidently submit your work through FSF’s WizeHive application portal.
