Madrid, 22nd of September, 2021 - Jan Taminiau is proud to introduce his team wearing the SS22 ready to wear collection in a snapshot that celebrates the brand's European heritage. Jan stands alongside his carefully curated team in his creative campaign shot by the renowned Dutch photographers, KlunderBie in his new Madrid world. The campaign, nicknamed WIP, “Work in Progress”, is a joint celebration as Jan and his partner Juan Varez, prepare to open their new flagship store in Ortega y Gasset 23 and continue to build the brand's vision.

Having fallen in love with Madrid and with a profound belief in the potential of the city, Jan felt this was the place to expand his universe. In order to do this they have decided keep a lean structure of highly specialized players with the aim of molding traditional clothes making into a highly efficient process. Sustainability and technology are deeply engraved in the brands DNA and are key drivers of the brands future.

They have also decided to bring in key international talent that has been instrumental in driving the brand's direction and taking it to the next level.

Their first move was to appoint Beatriz Carranza Vallejo-Nagera, Managing Director of the brand to steer the project and take the company to the next level. Beatriz is currently relocating from London with her family, and brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as Head of Sales for the British brand Emilia Wickstead and Wholesale Mana- ger for brands such as Diane von Furstenberg and Versace.

The brand plans to finish this year on double digit retail growth versus last year's performance, and 50% up on their results pre covid. They are also preparing to launch their first ever wholesale collection early next year, with an acute focus on traditional fabrics and sustainable practices.

Jan Taminiau (1975, Goirle) is one of the most exclusive and successful Dutch couturiers, with an atelier in Baambrugge, Netherlands, just outside of Amsterdam, and another one in Madrid, Spain. In 2004 Jan Taminiau launched his own independent Couture label Jantaminiau in Amsterdam and then, in Madrid in 2016, building silhouettes, volumes and shapes that extend beyond the limits of creativity.
