Lacoste and Mackintosh unveil FW26 outerwear collaboration

French sportswear brand Lacoste has revealed a collaboration with Mackintosh, the Scottish outerwear house, during its fall/winter 2026 show at Roland-Garros. Directed by Lacoste creative director Pelagia Kolotouros, the twelve-piece collection is crafted entirely from Mackintosh cloth, a waterproof cotton finished with hand-glued and taped seams.
The collection draws on the legacies of Lacoste founder René Lacoste, inventor of the polo shirt, and Charles Macintosh, who created the first waterproof garment in 1823. Mackintosh cloth is made by bonding a layer of liquid rubber between two layers of fabric, giving each piece both a water-repellent function and a distinct texture.
The range includes a polo poncho, a dress-trench, a shirt-jacket and a low-waisted trench, among other silhouettes, all cut and assembled by artisans in Mackintosh's workshops. Details include co-branded buttons in the show's colours, a tonal beige fabric crocodile logo, and hanging chains finished with a metal crocodile charm.
The Scottish label's signature waterproof tapes run along the inner seams in white and the sleeve edges and hems in black, forming a grid reminiscent of tennis court markings. The pattern extends to the Lenglen bag, reissued in two rubberised versions, one trimmed in black and the other fully monochrome.
Accessories include a racket cover and leather charms featuring Lacoste archive motifs. The Lacoste x Mackintosh collection is available online and at a selection of stores.
