After more than 20 years of successful collaboration with Tendenza and 2Go, Mustang is changing the licensed partner for its shoe collection and is transferring the licence to Supremo Shoes & Boots GmbH. This new partnership demonstrates the German quality brand's commitment to changes that drive innovation and a stronger presence in the footwear retail trade.
Supremo Shoes & Boots GmbH will take over the responsibility as the new licensed partner starting with the autumn/winter 2025 collection from 1 July 2025 onwards. "We are delighted to have found an energetic and reliable partner in Wawi Weichhart and his team, who are bound to give the Mustang success story a further boost," says Mustang CEO Andreas Baur.
Further development and growth of the Mustang brand in the footwear segment
Supremo Managing Director Wawi Weichhart emphasises: "With our new shoe licence, we intend to continue Mustang's success story in the footwear world and to develop our range further. We will bring quality and innovation to each design whilst also maintaining Mustang's authentic style. The acquisition of this new licence opens up exciting opportunities for addressing new customer groups and unlocking new markets."
Focus on fashion trends and European specialist retailers
A central aim of the partnership is the further development of the characteristic shoe collection in fashion terms and the expansion of the shoe retail trade in Germany and Europe. As an experienced and established footwear supplier, Supremo brings extensive expertise to the new cooperation. In addition to women's and men's designs made from high-quality leather and synthetic fabrics, Supremo is also increasingly focussing on including children's shoes in its portfolio.
Market launch and presentation of the collection
Pre-sales for B2B retailers will start on 1 December 2024, and the sales team led by Managing Director Christoph Gessner will continue to seamlessly support the present retailers and to unlock new markets. The Mustang autumn/winter 2025 collection can be viewed in the Supremo showrooms, as well as at international trade fairs such as the Expo Riva Schuh in January and the MICAM and ANWR Winter No. 1 in February. With this realignment and Supremo as a partner, Mustang is strengthening its position in the footwear segment and focussing on growth and further development in the European market.
