Pepe Jeans launches Italian Selvedge denim capsule for fall/winter 2026

British denim brand Pepe Jeans, owned by Madrid-based fashion group All We Wear Group (AWWG), has introduced an Italian Selvedge capsule collection for fall/winter 2026. Denim has been central to Pepe Jeans since the brand was founded in 1973, and the company says this capsule takes that commitment in a more deliberate, craft-focused direction, bringing together traditional weaving techniques, premium Italian fabric and Pepe Jeans' established silhouettes.

For the collection, Pepe Jeans partnered with Candiani, a family-owned Italian denim mill founded in 1938 that has built a reputation over several decades as a pioneer in sustainable denim production. The collaboration combines Pepe Jeans' denim heritage with Candiani's expertise in Italian selvedge fabric, a pairing the brand describes as bringing together design and craft.

Selvedge denim is woven on traditional shuttle looms, a slower process than modern weaving that produces a self-finished, tightly bound edge designed not to fray. According to Pepe Jeans, this results in a denser, more textured fabric than standard denim, one that develops a distinctive fade the longer it is worn, so that each piece carries its own history.

The Italian Selvedge capsule spans both the men's and women's collections. For men, the Dalston, Pepe Jeans' straight fit style, anchors the trouser range across three selvedge variations. These include a deep indigo rigid denim, a garment-dyed ecru made from organic cotton in a soft left-hand twill construction, and a calmer mid-shade wash intended to highlight the fabric's texture and quality.

The men's collection is led by the Italian Selvedge Trucker Jacket, a structured piece with pleat-front vintage detailing. It is cut from 100 percent rigid Candiani denim at 13 ounces, pre-shrunk to a deep indigo tone and finished with a dark, clean wash. Pepe Jeans positions the jacket as durable outerwear that pairs authentic selvedge construction with the silhouette of its classic trucker style.

For women, the Eden high-rise straight brings the Italian Selvedge line into the women's collection. Made from 100 percent rigid, deep indigo denim, the style is cut into what the brand describes as a timeless and elegant fit, aimed at buyers looking for a considered take on selvedge denim within a modern wardrobe.

Pepe Jeans says the Italian Selvedge capsule reflects the brand's broader view that well-constructed denim, built from authentic materials and traditional techniques, improves with age and wear. That philosophy runs through both the men's and women's pieces in the range, from the Dalston's three washes to the Eden's single indigo finish.

The Italian Selvedge capsule will be available online, in Pepe Jeans stores worldwide, and through select wholesale partners, giving retail buyers a heritage-focused addition to the brand's fall/winter 2026 offer.
