"Whose neck shall I stand on to make me feel superior, and what will I have out of it? I don’t want anything lower than I am. I am low enough already. I want to rise and to push everything up with me as I go." - Esperanza Quintero.

Welcome to ‘América’ by Willy Chavarria for Spring-Summer 2025, a celebration of the enduring legacy of a nation built on dreams, resilience, and limitless possibility.

Yahritza Y Su Esencia opened the Willy Chavarria SS25 runway show wearing pieces from the new collection and performing “Querida,” their heartfelt cover of the 1984 classic “Querida” by Juan Gabriel, for the very first time live. Backed by bold horns and strings, they pay homage to the original, while adding a fresh fire of their own.

Emerging as a global force of nature, two-time Latin GRAMMY® nominated sibling recording artists Yahritza Y Su Esencia share a new two-track bundle entitled MEMORIAS out now on all digital platforms.

‘América’ champions its immigrants in an exploration of diversity, beauty and community within fashion. Progressive thinking occurs in three runway movements: Fine Fashions, Willy Produce, and Community Center. New shapes are born from Willy Chavarria tailoring his dream pursuits into Italian cotton sportswear that embody the essence of American ingenuity. Each chapter innovates with the emotional range of the Willy Chavarria humanity wardrobe.

Willy Chavarria is delighted to announce a partnership with adidas as part of the runway show- an organic partnership born from a longtime mutual inspiration and affinity between the two brands. Twenty-two collaborative looks revealed in a second chapter of the show aim to challenge traditional norms in sportswear and fashion.

“I am thrilled to be part of such an iconic brand.” [Chavarria, 2024].

Footwear within the collection sees Chavarria’s take on the archival adidas “Jabbar” sneaker created for Kareem Abdul Jabbar, one of the most celebrated basketball players of all time, in 1978 - then, the first ever adidas shoe named for a basketball athlete.

“I have long admired Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s consistent voice through his talent, and I am so proud to create a collection with the same message. It was important for me to highlight the achievements Jabbar made on and off the court - that played such a crucial role in shaping the culture today.” - [Chavarria, 2024].

‘América’ is fundamentally unified by the singular Willy workwear uniform. In collaboration with Allen Edmonds, The Jalisco Oxford anchors the uniform, transcending seasons, occasions, and gender boundaries. Each shoe is exclusively stamped with the gold foil ‘W.C. initials.

Willy Chavarria grew up in Huron, California around Mexican immigrants who made a difference farming American fields. Mexican American leaders founded the United Farm Workers (UFW) to balance domestic wages that undercut Mexican immigrants in agriculture. Their work has greatly inspired this collection.

In anticipation of hosting a panel discussion with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and GQ on September 13th, 2024, Willy Chavarria unveils his merch collaboration with the organization during his SS25 show.

Willy Chavarria x Tequila Don Julio

The Willy Chavarria x Tequila Don Julio Capsule Collection made its runway debut in celebration of the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle designed by Willy Chavarria. The limited-edition bottle showcases his signature style with roses paired with interpretations of classic Mexican iconography from the Día de Muertos holiday paying tribute to friends, family and those who live Por Amor (for love), holiday traditions, and the special celebrations of food, music, and drinks that bring communities together. The collection features a linen guayabera shirt, drawstring pants and shorts, as well as a straw ranchero hat and handcrafted accessories made in Mexico including a bolo tie, belt buckle, bracelet, and leather vest, all inspired by Willy’s Mexican American roots.

"The great difference between people in this world is not the difference between the rich and the poor, or the good and the evil. The biggest of all differences in this world is between those that had or have pleasure in love and those that haven't or hadn't any pleasure in love. I don't mean just ordinary love or the kind you can buy. I mean great love." - Carlos Amado

"Welcome to your real ‘América."
