Dior opens House of Dior flagship in Milan on Via Monte Napoleone

French luxury house Dior is opening a new flagship store, House of Dior, on Milan's Via Monte Napoleone from 18 September 2026. Housed in a neoclassical building dating to the late 17th century, the three-storey space was designed by architect Peter Marino, with landscaping by Peter Wirtz across its terraces, courtyards and living walls.

Interior and design

The ground floor houses women's and men's bags and accessories alongside men's ready-to-wear and shoes, arranged around a glass atrium, with a restaurant and garden completing the level. Two staircases connect the floors: the women's side combines stone with wrought-iron detailing and contemporary works by Lee Bul and Claudia Wieser, while the men's side reinterprets the codes of Dior's 30 Montaigne address through a wooden wall lined with white toiles.

The first floor presents the women's collections designed by Jonathan Anderson, alongside shoes, signature bags including precious editions of the Lady Dior, and Victoire de Castellane's high jewellery. The same floor houses men's bespoke tailoring and formalwear, fragrances from La Collection Privée, and decorative homeware, while the second floor holds private lounges and a beauty room.

The store's art programme includes a portrait of Christian Dior by Michelangelo Pistoletto, alongside furniture pieces such as Claude Lalanne's Ginkgo Bench and Vittorio Introini's shelving units. The window displays are crafted entirely from fabric remnants sourced from Dior's ateliers, forming animated scenes inspired by Milan's gardens, including a nod to the flamingos of the city's Villa Invernizzi.

Opening exclusives

To mark the opening, Dior is introducing a series of exclusive pieces, including a leopard print referencing Christian Dior's muse and collaborator Mizza Bricard, applied to the Dior Bow pumps, Dior Ribbon sneakers and Lady Dior charms. The Lady Dior bag is also being introduced in small and mini formats in black, chalk and honey, alongside a khaki utility jacket from the men's winter 2026-2027 collection.

Monsieur Dior restaurant

The opening also introduces Monsieur Dior, a restaurant by Tuscan chef Enrico Bartolini, also designed by Peter Marino. The menu draws on the concept of layering, connecting Dior's design codes with courses such as knife-cut Piedmontese beef and a chocolate dessert referencing the house's 30 Montaigne address.
