Zimmermann opened its first boutique in Puerto Rico on August 22, 2026, located in San Juan. The new store, in The Mall of San Juan, marks a milestone in the brand's continued international expansion and brings Zimmermann's ready-to-wear and accessories collections to the Puerto Rican market for the first time.
The boutique opens with the Fall 26 collection and is located at Space 268, 1000 The Mall of San Juan Blvd, San Juan, 00924, Puerto Rico.
"It's incredibly exciting to see our San Juan boutique come to life. We really wanted to create a space inspired by the city's vibrant blend of historic and contemporary architecture, introducing a warm and inviting environment we welcome clients to immerse themselves in," said Nicky Zimmermann, creative director and co-founder.
The boutique was designed by Studio McQualter, the brand's long-term design partner, drawing on the architectural philosophy of Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. The space combines light terrazzo, white surfaces and a restrained colour palette, balancing understated architecture with richly layered furnishings.
Pieces within the store include an oak console desk and a signed Herman A. Kähler ceramic vase at the entrance, alongside 19th century French Gothic wrought iron chandeliers that create a focal point. The interior also features a custom striped rug, a bespoke sofa and Saarinen Tulip armchairs, complemented by graphic artworks and French portraits. A work by an artist from the Ngan'gikurrunggurr First Nation brings colour and energy to the space, while a Jean Widmer graphic poster at the point of sale introduces a modernist counterpoint alongside the historical references.
Zimmermann was founded in 1991 in Sydney, Australia, by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann. The brand is known for its aesthetic, which combines sophisticated femininity, bold colour and distinctive prints, and for its approach to design and craftsmanship within contemporary luxury.
