Job Title: Assistant Buyer
Reports to:  Sr. Merchandise Manager - Emerging Brands
Location:  Goleta, CA (Hybrid - requiring 2-days onsite work per week)

Your Impact:

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

Responsible for aiding in executing and communicating merchandising strategies for the North America Ecommerce business.

Work cross functionally with assigned Brand Product team, Marketing team, Wholesale team, DTC (Direct-to-Customer) Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Performance Marketing and e-Commerce Producers to build assortment plans and execute said plans to deliver set revenue goals. Work with multiple teams in order to plan, buy and manage product that aligns with brand goals, GTM (Go-to-Market) calendars and DTC planning. Attend all GTM meetings with brand to understand brand goals and direction.

Provide working forecasts that align brand goals with DTC tops-down plans. Use product knowledge, sales history and trend to build a forecast to deliver financial goals. Input sales plan at style-color level, driving alignment between bottoms-up product plan with a tops-down target plan. Identify risks and work with brand and/or planning to address. Work with online producers to outline seasonal plans identifying key stories, emerging categories, launch timing and exit strategies.

SALARY: $96,366/year - The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Who You Are:

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Merchandising, Retail Operations, or related field of study

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience in corporate retail merchandising and buying

Skills/Competencies:

  • Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
    • 3 years of experience in inventory planning, forecasting and inventory management.
    • 3 years of experience conducting data analysis to make business insights of data and present findings to direct manager for use in larger analysis.
    • 3 years of experience handling deliverables on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • 3 years of experience executing and communicating merchandising strategies.
    • 3 years of experience building reports in Excel from the bottom up using formulas, functions, pivot tables and v-look ups.
    • 3 years of experience in Tableau reporting and analyzing.
    • 3 years of experience in order management
  • Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
