Job Title: Warehouse Automation Engineer
Reports to: Distribution Supplies Manager
Location: Mooresville, Indiana Deckers Brands Campus
The Role
The Distribution Center Automation Engineer works collaborative with the operations team, and robotic vendors as well as independently. Will be responsible for applying analytical concepts and methods to the robotic and automation system, to determine practical solutions and efficiencies. Serves as the local technical lead, and conducts testing, analysis. Will also support with deploying, installation, and maintenance of robots and their framework. Works with the robotic vendors, manages the local automation system and processes. Performs calculations to optimize the robotic system, analyze data and improve the robotic processes and operation functionality and efficiencies.
May be assigned to projects to optimize logistics operations and processes across all NA distribution centers to achieve continuous improvement, add value, and contain costs. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, auditors, and others. Always represents the company in a positive and supportive manner.

Your Impact
- Support with the modification and management of the robotic processes, and controls. Conducts reports, tests, and analysis.
- The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Presents findings and recommendations to leadership team. Collaborates with robotic vendors, and the operations team, on the processes, included, but not limited to continuous improvement, design, and controls. Participates in meetings in-person and or virtual with internal teams and external robotic vendors.
- Supports with new robotic automation planning, implementation, execution, troubleshooting, maintenance, and or processes across the Distribution Centers. Ensure all robotic systems and machines operate safely. Performs integrations tests and quality control. Troubleshoots for flaws or defects in robotic systems and or processes.
- Documents processes, standard operating procedures for the robotic systems processes, and develops/instructs with technical training.

We’d love to hear from people with
- 5 or more years of experience in industrial robotics, or automation industry, preferred
- Working knowledge of PLC controls and programming
- Ability to work with internal customers and external vendors professionally
- Project Management and or Capital Engineering
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment
- Skilled in driving forward in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment
