The president of Manolo Blahnik USA, George Malkemus, and the company’s vice president, Anthony Yurgaitis, will no longer be working with the shoe brand, WWD reports. As mentioned in a statement, Malkemus and Yurgaitis chose not to renew their long-standing license, which will end in December.

According to the report, the decision not to renew their license with the British shoe company came as a conclusion after Blahnik’s niece, Kristina Hulsebus, along with her her in-house counsel and financial advisor, offered terms that they could not accept.

While Malkemus may be stepping away from the company, he will continue to work with Sarah Jessica Parker and her brand SJP Collection, which he helped launch in 2013. According to the statement, he will also be open to working as a consultant for emerging brands in the future.
