Bread & Butter, which has been going through some turbulent times of late, has named a new creative director, Haman Alimardani.

Alimardani, who studied fashion design at London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, succeeds Robert Dizdarevic, and will be responsible for the creative director of the upcoming restructured Bread & Butter planned for July 7 to 9.

Born in Tehran, Alimardani grew up in New York and Munich, and has his own label, Hamansutra, as well as creating works for Kenzo, Mey, Nike, Porsche, Microsoft, Jung von Matt and others. He has also guest lectured at Parsons The New School of Design, the Miami Ad School in Brooklyn and at the AMD Akademie Mode Design in Munich.

The new-look Bread & Butter was announced in January, aimed a focusing on young and innovative labels, following the tradeshow filling for insolvency in December last year.
