Debut North American textile recycling expo to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina

The first dedicated textile recycling event in North America, Textiles Recycling Expo USA, is set to take place in two weeks in Charlotte, North Carolina. Launched by Applied Market Information (AMI) Plastics, the exhibition and conference will take place from April 29 to 30 at Charlotte Convention Center. 

Bringing together more than 95 exhibitors and over 50 expert speakers, Textiles Recycling Expo USA aims to showcase the latest technologies and innovations within the textile recycling industry, including fiber-to-fiber solutions and advanced sorting systems, next to advancements in circular design and policy development.

Charlotte was chosen to host the inaugural textile recycling event in recognition of the city’s and the wider North Carolina region's reputation as a hub for industry advancement. Home to a well-established network of manufacturers, innovators, and leading research institutions, the area is particularly well located to help shape the next stage of transformation within the textile sector.

During the upcoming expo, attendees can expect a two-day programme that brings together industry insight, current innovations, and meaningful exchange. The event will showcase an extensive exhibition presenting advanced recycling solutions and emerging technologies, alongside a curated conference agenda addressing key industry challenges, regulatory developments, and forward-looking innovation. 

It aims to offer key opportunities for attendees to engage with senior decision-makers shaping the future of the textile sector, as well as practical insights into scalable approaches for reducing textile waste and advancing circular business models. The inaugural event reflects the growing importance of textile recycling in the United States, both as an environmental priority and as an emerging area of economic opportunity.

The upcoming textile recycling exhibition and conference expands on the strong momentum established by the inaugural European edition, which took place last summer in Brussels, convening key industry stakeholders to tackle the growing challenge of textile waste. Panel talks and discussions will focus on advancing solutions across the recycling of fabrics, garments, footwear, fibres, and non-woven materials.
