The European Outdoor Group (EOG) and ISPO have further expanded their partnership. The first edition of ISPO Shanghai, the new, segment-overlapping summer fair for primary growth market China, will take place from 2nd to 4th July 2015 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The multisport patform entered into an exclusive partnership with the EOG and focuses on the segments Outdoor, Action Sports, Water Sports, Performance and Fitness.

Around 300 exhibitors are expected, spread out over roughly 20,000 square meters. Among those who already confirmed participation are renowned brands like Mammut Sports, Black Diamond, Fjällräven, Deuter, Dolomite, Primus, Osprey, Julbo, Vasque, Smartwool, Sympatex, Camelbak, Point 65° Sweden, Regatta and others.

“ISPO has always been the place where the sports and outdoor communities get together, and China is the market with the largest potential in this industry. Messe München International organizing ISPO Shanghai as a summer event and ISPO Beijing as a winter event in China simplifies our structure and organization. We speak to the same contacts and can be sure that they will duly fulfill our requirements,“ explained Rolf Schmid, CEO of Mammut Sports president of EOG.

Mark Held, EOG's general secretary, emphasized that the organization does not consider ISPO Shanghai as "just an isolated event" but a "component of our year-round partnership".

“The excellent feedback of our customers and the exclusive partnership with EOG in Asia confirms the legitimacy of the ISPO Shanghai concept as a multi-segment sports platform for the summer cycle. The key to success is being multi-segmented as in the future new potential emerges – as confirmed by ISPO Munich – from the overlap of different segments.”added Klaus Dittrich, CEO Messe München.
