Kingpins, an international denim tradeshow that attracts buyers from around the globe, will be going virtual in the wake of coronavirus. The annual two-day event, which was set to take place in New York on June 1st, will feature the usual exhibitor list and line-up of talks, but this time done on the Kingpins24 platform.
In total, Kingpins24 will feature 135 presentations from exhibitors, as well as more than 35 panels, interviews, and seminars. The Lycra Company, Cone Denim, Saitex, Calik Denim, Prosperity Textile, Candiani Denim and Vidalia Mills and more than 50 other companies have submitted a wide variety of content to be shown on the Kingpins24 platform.
“The response from the industry has been overwhelming – nearly every company we have invited to join us has not only agreed but gone above-and-beyond to get creative and develop content for us that embraces the spirit and circumstances of Kingpins24,” said Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Show, in a statement. “The creativity, enthusiasm and support gives me high hopes for the success of this new concept – and it tells me that we’re not alone in our belief that the denim industry can and will evolve to meet the new challenges we are facing.”
Kingpins24 will be a two-part event. Anchored by the daily live stream, Kingpins24 will also feature a robust offering of on-demand content, featuring a mix of presentations, videos and Kingpins24-exclusive content from Denim Dudes, United Nations Office for Partnerships, Conscious Fashion Campaign, NPD Group, Vintage Showroom, Ravensbourne University, Simply Suzette, PVH, Kingpins MSP x Piero Turk, HTNK Fashion Recruitment + Consultancy, abd Mohsin Sajid. All pre-recorded content that will be on the live-stream will also be watchable on-demand, so that attendees in all time zones will be able to enjoy key interviews, presentations and seminars on their own schedule.
