There will be a notable absence on the Pitti Uomo fashion calendar this year. Z Zegna will be opting out of the annual Italian men's tradeshow and instead will be showing their collections by appointment in Milan.

“After several seasons when Zegna presented its two collections, Ermenegildo Zegna XXX and Z Zegna, in Milan and Florence, respectively, we decided to focus on Milan and it's fashion week, in a moment where the city returns to be the most important international destination for men’s fashion,” said Zegna artistic director Alessandro Sartori, in a statement to WWD.

Zegna will still be doing a runway show for their Ermenegildo Zegna XXX collection. The show will take place during Milan Fashion Week Men's on January 10.

Zegna has been hard at work keeping their classic Italian luxury brand relevant and modern. The company's ongoing “What Does it Mean to be a Man Today?” campaign has added to the current conversation around ideas of masculinity, and has encouraged men to be their authentic selves while in style.
