Colin Kaepernick isn't the only NFL star getting his hands on a slice of the fashion pie. New York Giants player Victor Cruz has partnered with 3x1 denim for a capsule collection that will be available this September. This is actually the denim brand's first celebrity collaboration.
The collection, which is called A Fall to Remember, was inspired by a Japan research trip Cruz took. According to 3x1 founder Scott Morrison, the collection is made from Japanese fabrics and features core items that really help fill out a man's wardrobe. The offerings include a classic shirt-jacket with vintage-inspired patch details, a long-sleeve chambray shirt with ombre detailing on one sleeve, a coated denim pant with a tuxedo stripe, a pair of ripped jeans made from stretched selvedge denim, and an indigo dyed wool Melton military coat.

The price point for the line ranges from 325 dollars for the tuxedo pant to 1325 dollars for the Melton wool coat. Proceeds from the collection will go towards the Victor Cruz Foundation, an organization dedicated to bringing science, technology, engineering, and math education to the Boys and Girls club of New York City and New Jersey. The collection will be sold on 3x1.us, within 3x1 stores, and through select wholesale partners.
3x1 has been working hard on expanding to other categories, as well as expanding their retail presence. They plan to open their second store in Southampton soon. With star football players like Victor Cruz helping them get attention, the brand is sure to see some major growth throughout the rest of 2015 and going into 2016.
