Aurate invites customers to trade in jewelry for International Women’s Day

Direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand, Aurate is encouraging its customers to empower themselves through the avenue of jewelry for International Women’s Day. From Mar. 7 to Mar. 8, the brand will, the brand is inviting women to trade in unwanted pieces of jewelry in exchange for a new item.

According to an announcement from the brand, customers will be able to meet with a fine jewelry appraiser on-site at the brand’s SoHo store in New York City. After evaluating their pieces with the appraiser, they can turn in their pieces for store credit to shop in-store or online.

The offer also extends to customers who aren’t able to make it into the New York store, allowing them to submit a photograph and measurements to the Aurate team. Remote customers can fill out a 3-question survey. After this, they will receive an appraisal estimate within two days. Those interested in participating in the initiative will send their pieces in by mail using a pre-paid shipping label from the company.

“For us here at Aurate, women’s day and the women’s movement is about taking life into your own hands, feeling empowered to change course as you see fit. Not feeling stuck but in fact empowered to move onwards and upwards,” Aurate’s founders, Sophie Kahn and Bouchra Ezzahraoui, shared in an email to FashionUnited. “As women, jewelry just so happens to remind us of monumental moments and decisions in our lives. In honor of Women’s Day, we want to embolden you in your decision to go where you want to go and support your next chapter…as you want it written.”

For those interested in bringing their unwanted jewelry to Aurate in person, the brand’s SoHo store is located at 154 Spring Street in New York, NY 10012.
