Almada Label is a Helsinki-based womenswear brand founded in 2020 by Alexa Dagmar and Linda Juhola. Known for its cashmere knitwear and pared-back ready-to-wear, the brand positions its pieces as seasonless “everyday luxury”, built around a permanent collection that evolves over time rather than following trends. On August 5, 2026, Almada Label made its runway debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week. During the SS27 edition, it showed its autumn/winter 2026 collection in a see-now-buy-now format at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

Brand History and Evolution

The founders design between Helsinki and Stockholm. Dagmar is registered as managing director of the operating company, AL Collection Oy Ab. Almada Label launched with three knit styles and has since expanded into a full ready-to-wear offering that includes tailoring, leather, shearling and silk.

In October 2025, the brand received the Finnish Textile & Fashion Award, worth €10,000. According to Vogue Scandinavia, the jury cited the brand’s ambitious international goals, its profitable growth and its media visibility.

Key Success Factors and Media Visibility

Speaking to Vogue Scandinavia in 2025, the founders credited three factors. The first was entering international markets from the start. The second was a clearly defined brand vision. The third was the balance between price and quality. The same publication reported that the brand’s shearling jacket sold out on its launch day, and that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore Almada Label’s Zila dress at the Venice Film Festival in late August 2025.

Growth has come at a cost to margins. According to Asiakastieto, AL Collection Oy Ab increased revenue by 34.2 percent to €4.8 million in 2025, with six employees. Operating profit fell 98 percent to €11,000, a margin of 0.2 percent, down from €482,000 in 2024.

Product Range and Pricing

Almada Label’s offering spans knitwear, outerwear, tailoring, trousers, dresses and accessories, in materials ranging from organic cashmere to shearling.

Global Presence

Almada Label lists stockists in 17 countries, including Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, the UK, Japan, South Korea and Australia. Its retail partners include Harrods, Le Bon Marché, Printemps, KaDeWe, Breuninger, Nordiska Kompaniet and Stockmann. For the autumn/winter 2026 season, the brand named Net-a-Porter as what it called a “key global retail partner”. It ships worldwide from a logistics partner in the Netherlands. In July 2026, it opened its first pop-up in Monaco, at Hôtel Hermitage.

The brand says its collections are produced with factories in Portugal, Italy, Turkey and China, and that it only works with suppliers that follow non-mulesing practices.

Future Outlook

In October 2025, the founders hinted at further pop-ups and events, and possibly a runway show. Both have since happened. Speaking to SheerLuxe in September 2026, they said that growing “in the right way” matters more to them than growing quickly.
