Carrie Underwood's Calia Line Showing at NYFW

Country music star and 7 time Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood will now be able to add New York Fashion Week to her resume. The American Idol alum has partnered with Dick's Sporting Goods on a line of fitness and lifestyle apparel called Calia by Carrie Underwood. Underwood will host an "activation" at The HQ, a new venue at 451 West 14th Street that will be used for NYFW events.

The collection will be presented on September 10 at HQ in a pop-up where invitees will be able to shop the line immediately. The new Fashion Week initiative will also include partnerships with bloggers and media outlets, and the venue will be open to the public every day between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Rumor has it that Underwood will also be announcing an extension of the line at the event, as she has an announcement to make about the collection that she must "keep under wraps" for now.

Calia Line to be presented at new HQ space during NYFW

While Underwood might be busy being a country music star, wife, and mother, she is still very dedicated to the success of her line. “We meet all the time, look at swatches, colors, styles. I raid my closet, look at pictures of my friends, anything for ideas," Underwood said to WWD.

One of the impressive things about her line is that includes a new type of technology called Bodywarm, which is designed to guard against cold and retain body heat. The line's capris and pants are at a retail price point between 60 dollars and 85 dollars, while tops are at a price point between 30 and 35 dollars. Specific sales figures have not been provided, but, Underwood has said that the line appears to be doing well since its retail debut in March.

In addition to her work on her new line, Underwood also has a new album coming out this fall with a release date of October 23. It's the year of style and continued stardom for the beautiful blonde. It's a busy 2015 for Underwood, but she's certainly doing it in style with the success of her line.
