Actress and musician Leighton Meester has teamed up with Los Angeles-based fashion brand Christy Dawn to create a limited-edition jumper, aptly named The Leighton Jumper. According to a press release from the brand, 100 percent of the proceeds from each purchase will go towards the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles.

Venice-based Christy Dawn is known for its bohemian and vintage-inspired dresses — which are made from deadstock fabric. Meester chose to work with the brand based on its mission to contribute towards sustainable fashion.

“Fashion has meant many different things to me over the years, but now I think a lot about the story behind each item I buy,” Meester said in a statement. “As a mom, I look for styles that are both stylish and practical, and as a conscious consumer, I seek out companies that are female-led and mission-driven.”

The proceeds that go to the Downtown Women’s Center — an organization dedicated to empowering women struggling with homelessness — where Meester has been volunteering.

“I am thrilled to get behind any opportunity to raise funds to support this important organization and cause,” she shared. “I am excited to be creating something beautiful for women and by women, that supports other women.”
