Derek Lam collaborating with SeaVees

Derek Lam is the latest on the list of designers to be collaborating with someone.

The designer has announced he is collaborating with SeaVees on a collection of women's shoes for his Derek Lam 10 Crosby line. The capsule includes three styles in eight colors. Price points for the collection range from 140 dollars to 180 dollars.

“SeaVees men’s shoes are a staple in my personal wardrobe and I’m excited about creating a women’s line of SeaVees for Derek Lam 10 Crosby,” said Lam to WWD.

Earlier this month, U.K. based Pentland Brands took a majority stake in California-based SeaVees. Although specific figures for the brand weren't disclosed, Pentland reportedly made a multi-million dollar investment.

Since being resurrected by CEO Steven Tiller in 2010, the brand has been seeing excellent growth and has developed a strong customer base. The brand is known for transforming gym shoes to casual wear, a staple of many American's wardrobes. The investment from Pentland could help span the brand's global reach.
