Emmelle has managed to be one of the fashion industry's best kept secrets so far. The label launched by Mi Jong Lee has been around since 1982, but, they have remained one of those brands that has been more for those in the fashion know. Despite their quiet and humble approach to business, the brand boasts quite an impressive list of clientele.

It's worn by everyone from the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Madeleine Albright, Eugenie Radziwill, and even former First Lady and current presidential candidate for the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton. Clinton was recently photographed in a turquoise linen pant suit by the fashion house on one of her recent campaign outings. Those who reside on the Upper East Side would also be familiar with Emmelle as well.

The brand has two flagship stores on the Upper East Side, as well as an e-commerce website. They will now be elevating themselves to the next level with a new more upscale collection called Emmelle Black Label. The line will include separates, suiting, and statement dresses, all manufactured at Lee's Manhattan headquarters.

Some of the techniques used for Emmelle's more upscale line include hand-beaded trims and silk satin bindings. The price point for Emmelle's Black Label will range from 450 dollars to 1600 dollars. Some of Emmelle's retail partners currently include South Carolina boutique Coplon's, in addition to Julian Gold and Tootsies in Texas. Their new Black Label collection could help them get some attention of some more major retail partners, though no announcements have been made in regards to anyone new carrying their collection yet.
