The world of sustainable sneakers keeps on growing.

Just after Adidas unveiled the launch of its Futureloop.Craft sneaker, Everlane has announced its new footwear brand, Tread by Everlane. The new brand, according to its website, is taking on the mission to develop “the world’s lowest-impact sneakers.”

In October 2018, the direct-to-consumer brand announced its goal to completely remove virgin plastic from its supply chain by 2021, starting off with its ReNew collection, which included pieces made from recycled plastic. With this goal in mind, the brand developed sneakers with recycled polyester laces and lining, leather uppers and soles made with a combination of natural rubber, recycled rubber and 5.8 percent virgin plastic, according to Fashionista.

The new shoe brand also decided to offset 100 percent of carbon emissions from its production by partnering with NativeEnergy.

The new sneakers from Tread by Everlane will be available on April 25.
