#FashionTech talk by About You: Never-ending growth

The #FASHIONTECH conference was set up in January 2015 by the PREMIUM GROUP and has taken place each season since then. With its aim of bringing fashion together with the tech and start-up industry, and covering all aspects of digital transformation, the conference has now grown to become a firm fixture in Berlin Fashion Week. Global players, industry insiders, communications experts, designers, start-ups and politicians will be taking to the stage to talk about developments, potentials and new approaches around fashion, technology and sustainability.

500 employees from 25 countries work for the company, which is continuing on its growth trajectory: having achieved a turnover of EUR 135 million, the company has dramatically exceeded its goal of EUR 100 million for the full financial year (reporting date: 28 February 2017). The plan is to surpass the billion mark within the next five years. Growth drivers are the multiplication of the successful business model in international markets; the installation of an innovative IT organisation culture; and the development of contemporary marketing concepts. To achieve this the About You Awards were created, which celebrated influencers and were broadcast on German TV. They generated massive response in the world of social media: over five million votes were cast in just 10 days and the number of participants rose from 72,000 to over 1.7 million. “Our growth is impressive and we are keeping a foot on the gas,” said Hannes Wiese, co-founder and a member of the executive team, with responsibility for Operations & Finance.
