The #FASHIONTECH conference was set up in January 2015 by the PREMIUM GROUP and has taken place each season since then. With its aim of bringing fashion together with the tech and start-up industry, and covering all aspects of digital transformation, the conference has now grown to become a firm fixture in Berlin Fashion Week. Global players, industry insiders, communications experts, designers, start-ups and politicians will be taking to the stage to talk about developments, potentials and new approaches around fashion, technology and sustainability.

Inga Griese is founder and Editor-In-Chief of the style supplement Icon that appears in the Welt am Sonntag. She speaks with Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, CEO and founder of Flowerbx, about her career. She began as Personal Assistant to Tom Ford at Gucci, which lead to her becoming Senior Vice President of Communication for Tom Ford. Today, she successfully operates flower mail-order business Flowerbx and explains how her time in the world of fashion and at Tom Ford acted as a springboard for setting up her own company and how it helped her to being her own brand to market. The secret to Flowerbx’s success is offering flowers at a lower price than traditional florists in England. This is achieved by cutting out the middlemen. This means that unnecessary and high fixed costs can be avoided. The savings are passed on to customers.

The #FashionTech conference takes place on 4 July 2018 at Kraftwerk, Köpenicker Str. 70, 10179 Berlin.
