During Copenhagen Fashion Week, Dutch fashion brand DANTE6 invited guests to an evening centred around its new spring/summer 2027 collection, 'Luminous Solar'. Fashion influencer and content creator Linda Tol hosted the event. She tells FashionUnited how she navigates the many transitions during fashion week, from the rush of a show to the calm of a dinner, and how she combines femininity and functionality in her wardrobe.

"What I found special about the evening was the combination of the collection, the location, and especially the people who came together," says Tol. "During fashion week, you are often rushing from one moment to the next. It was very nice to pause for a moment and really take the time to view the collection and talk to people." She describes 'Luminous Solar' as feminine and modern, yet very wearable.

Founder and creative director Evelyne also reflects on the evening. "During fashion week, everything is often very dynamic, whereas we wanted to create a moment to slow down, come together, and experience the transition from day to night," she explains. "The collection, the location, and the event thus became a single story: from movement and energy to calm and connection."

From show to dinner

According to Tol, a day during fashion week starts early and is immediately packed: from shows to presentations, with appointments, coffee, and content creation in between. "During the day, everything is very dynamic and you are constantly on the move." For her, the biggest shift comes at the end of the afternoon. "That is when I want to switch from that fashion week mode to something more relaxed, especially when you have dinner afterwards. Your outfit needs to be able to make that transition too."

Which pieces make that transition effortless? Tol opts for garments that can be styled in multiple ways. "I love strong silhouettes that are chic, timeless, but also feminine and easy to wear. It has to look effortless, but still feel like you have put thought into your outfit."

Femininity and functionality

According to founder and creative director Evelyne, 'Luminous Solar' is about the journey from sunrise to sunset, and the balance between strength, freedom, and femininity. "We were inspired by the first female pilots of the 1920s and 1930s, such as Amelia Earhart," she says. "Their functional, utilitarian clothing was the starting point, which we have translated into a modern, feminine wardrobe."

Tol recognises this theme in her own fashion week wardrobe. "During fashion week, I might have an appointment in the morning, attend three shows, and end up at a dinner in the evening. I therefore often opt for a comfortable and functional base, but with one or two strong feminine elements, such as trousers with a beautifully crafted knit. A look can also take on a different feel throughout the day with different shoes and accessories."

From the SS27 collection, Tol names the cargo pants, the denims, and the silk bomber jacket as her favourites. "It is important to me that items can be styled in different ways. They are real eye-catchers, yet comfortable enough to wear all day. That is what makes them so great for fashion week."

Linda Tol's styling tip

Her styling tip for those who want to remain feminine yet functional throughout a busy day is to invest in good basics with a strong fit and build from there. "A good pair of trousers, a beautiful top, and a quality knit can go a long way. Add a nice pair of shoes, jewellery, or a bag, and you are ready." For Tol, femininity is not about lots of details, but rather about the fit and how you feel in what you wear.
