Greg Lamarche collaborates with Bloomingdale's for 100% campaign

Luxury department store Bloomingdale's has tapped Greg Lamarche to create original graffiti prints for the 100 % Bloomingdale's campaign, debuting September 1. The New York-based graffiti artist is known for his colorful collages which combine commercially printed papers from his large vintage archive.

Lamarche borrowed from this season's trend of mixing textures, fabrics, and colors. His signature collections will be displayed in windows of Bloomingdale's 59th Street flagship store. His signature collages will also be displayed alongside the 100% merchandise, which will feature a wall comprised of jumbled letters as featured in his work.

A selection of limited-edition products featuring his graffiti print work will be sold at pop-up shops in Bloomingdale's locations all across the country through October 31, as well as on bloomingdales.com.

The collection includes a No Trespassing sweatshirt in multicolored letters for 98 dollars, a No Trespassing Crewneck t-shirt for for 65 dollars, a long sleeve t-shirt with bands of letters across the arm for 65 dollars, and a No Trespassing zip hoodie with graffiti art on the hood and sleeves for 115 dollars.

“Being a native New Yorker, Bloomingdale’s was part of my experience growing up,” said Lamarche to WWD, explaining his interest interest in collaborating with the retailer.

“Bloomingdale’s is excited to join forces with renowned artist Greg Lamarche for our fall 2016 100% Bloomingdale’s campaign,” said Frank Berman, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Bloomingdale’s, in a statement. “Each season we look to broaden our roster of 100% Bloomingdale’s collaborators — from designers to performers to athletes — in an effort to create exclusive merchandise and experiences that our customers won’t find anywhere else. Greg’s dynamic artwork brings a playful energy to our fall campaign and creates the perfect backdrop for the season’s top trends.”

Lamarche has also designed a Medium Brown Bag logo and a Little Brown Bag logo for Bloomingdale's signature tote, retailing at 50 dollar sand 35 dollars respectively. There's also other Lamarche merchandise like a shaving kit, coffee mug, notebook, money clip mug, pillow, and plastic tumbler.

Bloomingdale's will also be offering complementary Greg Lamarche letter pins to decorate denim jackets and sweatshirts at the pop-ups.

Bloomingdale's has a series of events planned around the products, including a September 17 event where Lamarche designed patches will be given out with a purchase of jeans and darned while you wait between 1 and 6 p.m at all locations.
