Gucci to launch Dionysus handbags

New York - Gucci will be honoring some of the world's most famous cities with special versions of their Dionysus handbags. Beginning next month in January, Gucci's flagship stores located in New York, London, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Dubai will carry special versions of the bag. The bags will be crafted from GG Supreme canvas and feature the metallic double tiger head.

The decor and extra details on the bags will be unique to each city. For example, the London bag will feature a snake and roses on it, while the Dubai bag will feature a starfish and dragonflies. All the bags feature a leather patch on the inside with a bee motif, in addition to the name of the city which the specific style is dedicated to.

Each patch has a color unique to each city. Tokyo's is pink, Rome's is teal, Dubai's is green, Hong Kong's is burgundy, Paris's is white, New York's is bougainvillea, Shanghai's is red, and London's is blue. Earlier this month, Gucci launched a Dionysus bag dedicated to Milan with a dark orange patch.
