London - The second drop in the Nike Lab x Kim Jones collaboration has launched featuring a bomber jacket, hoodie, and fleece trousers. While the first in the Packable Sport Style collection delivered pieces for an active destination wardrobe, the second drop Tech Fleece serves to consider the “planes, trains and automobiles in between”.

"Nike Tech Fleece is something that's a really progressive fabric in terms of development,” explains British designer Kim Jones, who’s the current men's artistic director for Louis Vuitton. “It looks quite simple, but someone who is into technical details and a bit of a geek, like I am, about products and design, would really appreciate how that's made, because it's actually really a hard thing to do.”

The five piece NikeLab x Kim Jones capsule collaboration is all made from Nike Tech Fleece, a lightweight breathability, and strong fabric memory, which curtails creases, and to enhance the garments’ packability, seams are minimised and heat-sealed when possible, rather than sewn.

The garments also debut a fair bit of experimentation, with the Tech Fleece pieces being dyed for the first time and featuring integrated straps with snaps to help facilitate packing.

The capsule collection includes a reversible jacket with neon-coloured liner featuring bonded zippers and 100 percent nylon fill for lightweight warmth, while a detachable cord at the neck allows the jacket to roll into itself for easy packing and transportation.

Other travel-related features include a fleece hoodie, a crew top, fleece trousers, as well as a pair of NikeLab Air Zoom LWP x Kim Jones, which takes inspiration from the 1995 Nike Air Zoom LWP, the first running shoe to feature Nike Zoom Air technology.

The NikeLab x Kim Jones: Packable Sport Style collection is available from nike.com/nikelab and select NikeLab stores, prices range from 160 pounds to 295 pounds.
