Iris Apfel, who has described herself as a "late in life" fashion icon, has teamed up with Macy's Inc. The department store chain has teamed up with Apfel to launch a collection within their private label INC International Concepts. The collection will be called Iris meets INC.

The collection will be a total of 40 pieces inspired by Sixties Mod styles, which Apfel regularly embodies. Iris Meets INC will be sold at 300 Macy's locations and on macys.com. In addition to the campaign imagery and collection, Iris emojis will be on hangtags.

Apfel curated the pieces in advance of Macy's manufacturing for its mass audience, with the most impact happening on accessories.

“The INC fall collection is really being introduced with this being the big idea,” said Nancy Slavin, senior vice president of marketing of Macy’s Merchandising Group, to WWD. “Iris is curating a collection entirely inspired by Sixties Mod. She is absolutely on point regarding the style genre. We took lots of quotes from her to give it the authority and a narrative, as if she was the fashion editor speaking about what this collection is all about.”

Some of the items include are floral flare-legged pants, shift dresses, suede patchwork A-line skirts, and snakeskin-print trench coats. Price points for the collection range from 49 dollars and 50 cents to 199 dollars and 50 cents.
