Roland-Garros is collaborating with Louis Vuitton to create two bespoke monogram canvas trunks to transport and protect the Suzanne Lenglen and Musketeers' trophies that are awarded at the men's and women's French open.

The cases will feature Louis Vuitton's signature brass corners and lock, along with a terra-cotta interior to evoke the clay tennis courts of the Roland-Garros venue in Paris. White v-shaped stripes are featured on the front to symbolize tennis court lines too.

The tournament will be held from May 22 to June 1 this year.

This is just another addition to the collaborations Louis Vuitton has been using to generate media attention for their brand. Earlier this year, the brand sent shockwaves throughout the fashion industry when they debuted their collaboration with Supreme during Paris Men's Fashion Week.

Their most recent collaboration with Jeff Koons for a limited-edition collection of accessories was declared a hit before it even debuted. Koons is one of the biggest artists the brand has ever worked with, and further incarnations have been planned.

It's the year of the collaboration, and Louis Vuitton isn't missing a single dollar.
