Fashion

Fashion and beer aren't two words you put in the same sentence. The concept in itself sounds so foreign, but it makes sense to Miller High Life. The popular American beer company has unveiled a capsule collection of men's wear that drew inspiration from past advertisements. The pieces include a 35 dollar pocket t-shirt, 88 dollar riding pants, a 175 dollar denim trucker jacket, and a 250 dollar three-button shooting blazer.

One of Miller High Life's signature ads was a girl in a moon logo, an ad that is now embroidered on the back of the denim jacket and the sportsmans' jacket. The company, which was founded in 1903, was looking for a way to celebrate its heritage this month, so they ended up collaborating with Chicago based men's wear clothing company Stock. According to Stock CEO Jim Snediker's quote in WWD, Miller High Life was "looking for someone to do something cool around that."

Stock pitched Miller High Life the idea for a capsule collection, and Miller High Life looked at their archives to come up with some ideas. They took ads from the 1910s to 1980s and used them to create the collection.

The line will be available at Stock's store in Chicago and their website and a pop-up shop open at 40 Ludlow Street the weekend of October 24 and 25. The stores will have happy hour from 5 - 7 p.m each day, because who sells a beer inspired collection without beer?
