Los Angeles - International platform Not Just A Label (NJAL) just announced recently that it was planning to move towards Los Angeles territory for a flagship. In hopes of expanding the city and growing the fashion industry locally, NJAL has come from London with a new initiative.

Moving into L.A., the company plans to facilitate growth and business, establishing a strong fashion presence in the city. “With a thriving art scene, a powerhouse of retail momentum and a GDP of more than 825 billion dollars, L.A. is a growing force in the global fashion network,” Stefan Siegel, chief executive officer and founder of NJAL, said in a statement. Los Angeles was chosen by NJAL due to the fact that it has the largest manufacturing employee number in the U.S. In partnership with the City of Los Angeles, NJAL is also launching a “Make It in LA” initiative to help build the city’s manufacturing ecosystem and inspire more networking and relationship-building between suppliers and manufacturers.

Established as a company aiming to change the fashion industry through highlighting emerging designers and manufacturers, the company is known for creating strategies and business initiatives. At the moment, NJAL works with over 24,000 designers spanning over 150 countries. In expanding to L.A., the company hopes to ultimately be successful in creating a stronger U.S. market.
