NY Denim Days Brand Roster Expands, Adds Denim Bigwigs To List Of Participants

The ranks of denim brands, retailers and artisans that have signed on for the first-ever New York Denim Days festival continues to grow. Hudson Jeans, Edwin, and Brooklyn Denim Co. are the latest brands to join the festival, along with Jean Shop and 3x1, to host a variety of initiatives on the New York Denim Days show floor - including workshops, pop-up shops and interactive displays.

“Denim Days will be our Woodstock,” said Adriano Goldschmied, the godfather of denim. Two notable denim bigwigs/authors will host book signings at New York Denim Days. Book Signing Schedule:

Sept. 30: Amy Leverton, author of “Denim Dudes” and the forthcoming “Denim: Street Style, Vintage, Obsession”

Oct. 1: Piero Turk, the Italian denim designer and author of cult-favorites

“Details: A Life With Denim” and “Number 2: A Life With Denim”

New York Denim Days, which will feature two shopping days at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 as well as a one-day street festival on Oct. 1 on West 18th Street (between 6 th Ave. and 7 th Ave.), is designed to connect the world's leading denim insiders, designers and brands with consumers al under one roof.

“I can’t think of a more beloved, democratic product in the world than a pair of blue jeans … and what better way to celebrate all things denim, than here in the greatest city in the world, New York, our hometown,” said Scott Morrison of 3x1.

"Denim Days is a chance for everyone - literally everyone - to come together and celebrate, enjoy, and appreciate jeans and jeans-making in all its glory.”
