Rebecca Taylor is joining in on the sustainability movement. With its ReCollect program, customers can bring in pre-owned Rebecca Taylor pieces in exchange for 15 USD in store credit for each, which can be used at the brand’s retail locations and online. The company will then repurpose, recycle, and resell these pre-owned items.

Once pieces are brought in to Rebecca Taylor, they are then sorted out based on condition to determine if they can be repaired, cleaned, and sold. Anything that doesn’t meet the label’s standards to resale will be sent to HELPSY’s recycling and upcycling, according to WWD. Anything the label considers eligible for resale will be resold under Rebecca Taylor’s website under the category ReCollect, which will launch on Dec. 15.

Rebecca Taylor’s ReCollect program launches on Sept. 27. The brand will notify its customers through its six store locations and online. Under the ReCollect category, dresses will be sold between 85 USD to 175 USD, tops range from 50 USD to 85 USD, and jackets available from 115 USD to 145.

According to the report, Rebecca Taylor plans to donate 50 percent of its ReCollect proceeds to Cool Effect, an organization dedicated to reducing carbon emissions as a way to battle climate change.
