Rihanna's Fenty for Puma slides to be released in grey

Rihanna's Fenty for Puma collection will now be offering their fuzzy slide in a grey colorway. The grey slide will be released on Puma's website and in select stores on August 5. It will be priced around 88 dollars.

The fuzzy slide was offering in black, pink, and white originally. The past two releases have sold out. In light of consumer demand, the grey slide will be released along with a third shipment of the three original color ways.

The slides have been one of the biggest hits of the Fenty for Puma collaboration. They sold out in one day when they were introduced in April. They were restocked in advance of the July 4 holiday weekend. Puma had said that new colors would be arriving later in the season.

Rihanna has really helped the German activewear brand increase their popularity. Her high-top trainers and creeper styles for the brand have also been top sellers.

In addition to the boost the brand has gotten from Rihanna's fame, they are sponsoring athletes for the Rio Olympic Games like Jamaican Olympic Champion Usain Bolt. Typically, association with an Olympic athlete is known to help a brand's sales.

Puma is also in the middle of a re-branding and category expansion effort. In June, the Kering-owned firmed teamed up with New York City Ballet to become the company's official offstage outfitter. In June, they also named Kylie Jenner, Young Thug, YesJulz, Khalif, and Aaquil Brown as the faces of their suede collection.
