British fashion label Stella McCartney has unveiled an equestrian collaboration with LeMieux, for both rider and horse, which combines luxury fashion with technical performance wear.
McCartney, a lifelong rider, states the conscious collection celebrates her love of horses and nature, while also combining the sustainable vision of the Stella McCartney brand and the technical mastery of LeMieux, founded by former Olympic event rider, Robert LeMieux, and his wife Lisa.
“Horses have been part of my story since before I was born, and they still bring me joy every single day,” said McCartney in a statement. “Working with LeMieux felt completely natural, a way to unite my love of riding with my commitment to conscious, innovative design. This collection showcases sustainability in a modern, vegan, cruelty-free approach to equestrian wear, created with the same integrity and attention to detail I bring to every part of my brand.”
The collection is vegan and responsibly made, with pieces made with moisture-wicking UV50+ recycled nylon, organic cotton, and 100 percent recycled fabric shell materials. It draws inspiration from the bond between human, horse and the natural world, and features base layers and breeches designed to celebrate “elegance in motion through refined, performance-led silhouettes”.

The pieces come in two timeless tones, navy and lipstick red, with highlights including a base layer inspired by McCartney’s Miracle Dress, shaped with flattering lines that contour the body and elevate technical wear, which has been crafted from moisture-wicking UV50+ recycled nylon and features four-way stretch for ease of movement, breathable mesh panelling and sleeves with ribbed cuffs.
While sculpting, high-waisted pull-on breeches have been designed for both comfort and performance, with mesh side panels, a subtle silicone knee grip for stability and practical phone pockets.
For the horse, the capsule collection features a fly hood crocheted in organic cotton to ensure a close, low-profile fit under the bridle, and ears in four-way stretch elastane protect the horse from irritation.
There is also a saddle pad, which comes in both a dressage and classic jump square, which has been crafted with a 100 percent recycled fabric shell in an exclusive ‘S-Wave’ quilt pattern, and a natural bamboo and viscose-blend lining, which is designed to be “kind to the horse’s coat”. It also has a vegan leather girth protection area with a dual-branded embroidered strap.
Dan Mahoney, chief executive of LeMieux, added: “This collaboration represents a new chapter for LeMieux, one that brings together our equestrian heritage with Stella McCartney’s iconic approach to conscious design.
“We’ve worked hand in hand to create something that’s both deeply authentic to the riding community and beautifully progressive in its sustainable vision. It’s a collection that honours horses, nature, and the people who ride with purpose.”
LeMieux was founded in 2006 and features products made for riders by riders, including riding clothing for women, men and children, as well as technical saddle pads, horse wear and blankets. The brand, which is sold in 90 countries, has also expanded into toys, leisurewear and casual clothing, and has a range of footwear.
The Stella McCartney x LeMieux collection is priced between 49.95 and 99.95 pounds.
Stella McCartney isn't the first fashion brand to expand into the equestrian market. Luxury German brand Hugo Boss launched its Boss Equestrian line in 2023, designed, produced and distributed by Bold Equestrian Ltd, featuring lifestyle fashion for both men and women, and horse accessories, while Swedish retailer H&M added All In Equestrian in late 2023, offering functional stable wear and equestrian-inspired pieces designed to be worn beyond the stables.
