Los Angeles - Luxury brand Thomas Wylde recently unveiled plans to delve into other fashion categories. The Los Angeles-based brand, known for its ready-to-wear with a rock edge, just announced that it’s planning to take a shot at designing denim.

The label has already received positive standing for its British-influenced rocker vibe, including bejeweled blazers, quartz emblazoned dresses, and much more. However, the company has decided to add its own authentic version of denim, due to the city’s reputation with the fabric. “We want to grow this brand organically,” creative director Jene Park told WWD. In order to create that, Park states that the new venture is necessary. “[Thomas Wylde] has to have denim, now that L.A. is the capital of premium denim,” Park told the publication.

The new collection will retail from 350 to 850 dollars, hovering below the brand’s average price point which can reach up to 2,625 dollars. Currently, the new line will have 35 pieces, however the brand will continue to grow its denim category in the future. The Los Angeles-based company, founded in 2006, will release its pre-spring collection with the denim line this year.
