While entrepreneurs and business owners have been struggling to rebound after the coronavirus lockdown, fashion designer Tory Burch, the owner of her famed eponymous label, has announced the recipients of the fifth annual Tory Burch Fellowship Program. The program provides female entrepreneurs with 5000 dollars for business education and access to an online community of peers.

Recipients on the fashion and retail side of things include Charis Jones of Sassy Jones, Elizabeth James of Taylor + Thomas, and Jenny Rushmore of Cashmerette. Burch shared the news over a Zoom call with the female entrepreneurs. While the mentorship program would typically take place at the Tory Burch offices, this year they are switching to a virtual model to keep everyone safe and healthy as a precaution for coronavirus.

The Tory Burch Fellowship Program originally launched in 2015, and to date has provided support to over 130 female entrepreneurs. At a time when independent business owners are struggling, the grant will provide much needed support in them being able to learn how to sustain their businesses in what will continue to be a climate with tough economic challenges.
