Trina Turk does capsule collection for "Incredibles 2"

Trina Turk is collaborating with Disney Pixar for a capsule collection of activerwear inspired by the long awaited "Incredibles 2", the sequel to "The Incredibles" which opens June 15. Launching this Wednesday, the collection was inspired by adventurous lifestyles and encourages people to find their inner superhero.

The collection's main focus in swimwear, but it also includes two geometric print dresses and one pair of sunglasses inspired by Edna Mode, the movie's fashion designer character. The color palette is black, white and red similar to the title characters uniforms. "The Incredibles" logo of a lowercase i with a swirl around it is also featured on the pieces.

“I’m a big fan of ‘The Incredibles,’” said Turk to WWD. “I love the references in the production design to iconic midcentury modern architecture in Palm Springs, as well as the dynamic characters, especially Edna Mode. We created an active swimwear capsule collection to wear on your super adventures this summer.”

"The Incredibles" collaboration was a longtime in the making for Trina Turk. Several years ago when she did a capsule collection for Disney Pixar's "Finding Dory" she told them that if they ever did a sequel to "The Incredibles" she would love to be involved.

Price points for the collection range from 56 dollars to 288 dollars. It will be available on Trinaturk.com, Mrturk.com, Shopdisney.com and at Trina Turk freestanding stores.
