Direct-to-consumer eyewear brand Warby Parker—which just announced the launch of its contacts brand, Scout—is adding another launch under its belt. Partnering with late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon, Warby Parker has created a new and innovative style: Spinnies.

According to an announcement from the brand, Fallon, who hosts The Tonight Show, approached the eyewear company’s founders and chief executive officers Neil Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa with the idea to create the first-ever sunglasses that spin at the temple. From there, the brand started exploring options.

Warby Parker started creating various models of the would-be sunglasses using a 3D printer to find the right construction to work and most seamlessly within its casing. The team eventually decided to use a steel ball bearing in its final patent-pending design, which is created to move more fluidly over time.

The new Spinnies is a reinterpretation of a midcentury silhouette, according to the brand, and features a matte black finish and contrasting silver plaques at the temples.

Additionally, 100 percent of the Spinnies’ purchases go directly to Pupils Project, Warby Parker’s program, which offers free vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses to school children in the U.S.

“This truly original creation is an exemplary fusion of Jimmy’s imagination and Warby Parker’s firm belief in innovation, creativity, and putting our own quirky spin on everything we do,” Blumenthal shared in a statement. “We’re really proud to partner with Jimmy on this first-of-its-kind frame while supporting Pupil’s Project.”

The Jimmy Fallon x Warby Parker Spinnies are available at Warby Parker for 95 USD.
