‘The coexistence between humanity and mother nature: not a soul in sight, only the sound of falling snow fills the air’.
Woolrich draws inspiration from the coexistence of humanity and Mother Nature for a new outdoor collection. Channelling the tranquillity of falling snow amidst the unspoiled nature of mountain fields, the Quiet Sport concept references Woolrich pieces from the 1980s and 90s, with a neutral colour palette that mimics the tones of sunrise, sunset, water & sky. A versatile range of products which harmoniously appeal to various scenarios and adventures is carefully managed to reach the highest level of performance.
The collection includes innovative garment-dyed down jackets with waterproof membranes perfect for sub-zero environments, technical knitwear equipped with a new insulation system thanks to a single yarn made of cotton and nylon. Super light coats injected with Primaloft and crafted with Pertex Diamond Fuse technology to grant the perfect balance between lightness and resistance. Gore-Tex is also a crucial partner, from Infinium for the more contemporary shapes to the basic outer layer for the classic Parkas.
Some items, like the Airy Plus family, are finished with Woolrich’s acclaimed Chevron stitching with precise cutting and detailing, while others use the thickest Polartec 300 fleece in water repellent and velour-like jackets. Weather-proof fabricated pants are constructed with advanced DWR (durable water repellent) technology and treated with a wrinkle finishing technique which lends dynamism to its contours.
T-shirts and sweatshirts are constructed from blends of cotton and nylon, merino wool and fast-drying polyester - in order to avoid sweating and ensure a comfy fit. The fishing-inspired vest boasts an exclusive material, one born from the combination of a ripstop textile together with Tsunooga; a high-strength and ultra-light polyethylene fiber.
The FW19 collection is an ode to discovery, both natural and urban, as well as a declaration of know-how which stems from a technical space. The form and silhouette of the heritage pieces are reinforced through purpose-driven fabrics to create smart and wearable pieces.
