Adam Lippes has named a new chief executive officer. Michelle Gaster Wasserman, the former head of Coach Inc.'s North American e-commerce business, will be stepping into the role.

Gaster Wasserman succeeds former CEO Donata Minelli, who joined Adam Lippes in 2014, but has decided to exit the role to spend more time with her family and explore new employment avenues.

“She was instrumental in setting up the foundation of the brand and its processes,” Lippes said about Minelli in a statement to WWD.

Gaster Wasserman is well experienced in the world of luxury brands. She began her career at Bergdorf Goodman as a buyer for the European couture division, and while she was at Coach, she made direct-to-consumer her main focus.

In her new role at Adam Lippes, she will be responsible for helping the brand grow their name recognition as well as expand their digital presence. While Lippes has a presence with high-end retail partners like Bergdorf's, Net-a-Porter, and Saks Fifth Avenue, he would also like to focus on opening more freestanding stores.
