New York - Christophe Girard, the man famous for being both a fashion business and political figure, will now be subtracting fashion business from his resume. It was announced yesterday that Girard will be exiting LVMH sometime over the summer for reasons that are still undisclosed. A rep for LVMH and Girard were both unavailable for immediate commentary

Speculation would have it that Girard might be intending to make some bigger political moves, but, there is currently no way of confirming this. His current title at LVMH is director of strategy for the fashion and leather goods division. Given that this is the company that owns Louis Vuitton, Girard certainly had his work cut out for him handling luxury leather goods.

Prior to working at LVMH, Girard was employed at Yves Saint Laurent. Whatever his next move will be, fashion or political, given his history it is sure to be nothing minor. He is no stranger to high fashion, so, he is certain to land on his feet once leaving LVMH.
