American bridal wear company David’s Bridal is investing in its digital presence with the announcement of its first-ever chief digital experience officer. The brand announced the internal promotion of Lizzy Ellingson, who will be serving in the newly created role to lead the brand’s digital transformation.

Prior to the new appointment, Ellingson served as the chief product and design officer of Blueprint Registry—which was acquired by David’s Bridal in 2018—where she’s developed a strong skillset in UX design, product management and digital experience. In her new role, she will work with the digital experience team as it launches “new market planning tools, AI capabilities, and website optimizations meant to service customers along their entire shopping journey, whether it be for a special event.”

“When we think about everyone who wants to seize the moment with the perfect dress, we think experience, we think digital, we think magical moments,” Kelly Cook, David’s Bridal’s chief marketing officer and whom Ellingson will report to, said in a statement. “Lizzy has a vision for all three, and we are fortunate to have her on the marketing team as we strive to find new ways of providing extraordinary moments for our customers.”
