Emilie Arel named CEO of Full Beauty Brands

Fullbeauty Brands, Inc., one of America's most trusted companies for plus-size men and women, has announced the appointment of Emilie Arel as the company's chief executive officer.

Arel brings extensive operating experience in apparel merchandising, retail technology, marketing and e-commerce to Fullbeauty. From 2015 to 2017, she served as the CEO of the Amazon.com, Inc. subsidiary Quidsi Inc., a retail technology company with a portfolio of six e-commerce sites, where she was instrumental in driving customer profitability across the business while simultaneously integrating the sites into the Amazon ecosystem. Prior to becoming Quidsi's CEO, she led the company's buying, marketing and inventory management efforts as senior vice president of retail.

Before Quidsi, Arel served in various roles at Gap Inc. from 2007 to 2014, including serving as a division vice president and general manager at Old Navy. Previously, she was a buyer and held positions in inventory planning and strategy for Target Corporation from 2001 to 2007. Arel holds a dual MBA from Columbia School of Business and the Haas School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Saint Thomas.

Arel succeeds Acting CEO and board member Seth Brody.
